Shopify Agentic Storefront Participation Disclosure

Elite Obsolete Electronics® provides this disclosure voluntarily in the interest of transparency. To Elite Obsolete Electronics®’ knowledge, participation in Shopify’s agentic storefront program does not, by itself, require a separate public-facing website disclosure of this nature, and nothing in this notice should be interpreted as an admission that any such disclosure is legally required for our business, our website, or our participation in supported AI shopping channels.

Elite Obsolete Electronics® participates in Shopify’s agentic storefront program, which may allow our products to be discovered, recommended, and, where available, purchased through AI-powered channels and interfaces such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot. These channels may present our products to users based on conversational requests, product searches, recommendations, or other shopping-related prompts.

Elite Obsolete Electronics® is not involved with, and will never be involved with, paid or unpaid AI chatbot-endorsed brand sponsorships, product placements, promotional arrangements, or endorsements of any sort or in any capacity. Elite Obsolete Electronics® does not pay any separate promotional fee to participate in Shopify’s agentic storefront program, and its appearance in supported AI shopping channels should not be interpreted as paid promotion, sponsored placement, or endorsement by the AI channel.

Depending on the AI channel and how Shopify has enabled the experience, customers may complete their purchase either through Elite Obsolete Electronics®’ online store checkout or through a Shopify-powered checkout experience within the AI channel itself. Shopify states that ChatGPT functions as a discovery-focused channel in which customers complete checkout on the merchant’s online store, while certain other agentic storefront channels may support direct purchasing within the AI channel through Shopify-powered checkout.

In order to support product discovery, display, recommendation, and transaction processing, certain product information may be made available to relevant AI channels. This information can include product titles, descriptions, images, pricing, availability, and other catalog-related details necessary to present our products accurately.

For transactions that originate through AI channel conversations or shopping experiences, certain customer and order information required to complete and service the transaction may also be shared with the relevant AI channel. This can include information such as the customer’s name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and order details required for checkout, fulfillment, and transaction processing.

Elite Obsolete Electronics®’ private Shopify admin information, protected backend store data, full order history from other sales channels, and general customer database are not shared with AI channels for general access. According to Shopify’s documentation, AI channels receive access only to customer and order information associated with orders that originate through those AI channel interactions, and they do not receive unrestricted access to our broader Shopify admin data or unrelated customer records.

Elite Obsolete Electronics® retains ownership of the customer relationship and post-purchase experience for orders placed through Shopify’s agentic storefronts. Orders originating through agentic storefronts are processed through Shopify and appear in our Shopify admin with channel or referrer attribution so that we can identify where the order originated.

Please note that checkout data resulting from completed AI channel orders may be used by the relevant AI channel in accordance with that channel’s own terms of service, privacy practices, and user agreements. Your interactions with third-party AI platforms may therefore also be subject to the terms, policies, and data practices of those platforms in addition to the policies of Elite Obsolete Electronics®.

Participation in agentic storefronts may depend on store eligibility, channel availability, market availability, and Shopify configuration. Not all AI channels or direct checkout features are available to all Shopify merchants at all times. In some cases, our products may be discoverable through AI channels even where direct in-channel purchasing is not enabled, in which case customers may be redirected to our online store to complete their purchase.

Elite Obsolete Electronics® may update, expand, limit, or discontinue its participation in specific AI channels or Shopify agentic storefront features at any time, subject to Shopify’s platform capabilities and our business preferences.
